I don't really understand all the MIDI settings on the Nord, but have tried changing both MIDI control change, and MIDI program change (whatever these are) to send/receive and also tried send. I've also tried changing the MIDI channel. I've no idea what MIDI send Ctrl, MIDI dump one, MIDI dump all are. I've downloaded the tutorial from here to bring me up to speed. Whenever I connect the Nord Logic pops up with this. I've also noticed that although I though OS X recognised the Nord I'm now not sure it does. Here's a screen shot from the audio/MIDI program in OS XIf I connect the korg and click test setup, whenever I press a key on the korg keyboard a tone is heard. If i do the same with the Nord I hear nothing.
You may notice that the korg icon has the numbers 1,2 & 3 'assigned' to it, but the Nord has none, could this be anything to do with it? It's really frustrating. With the Korg I simply connected it and it worked. In logic I can click any of the 'instruments' in the global tracks list in the arrange window and it will 'play' whichever 'instrument' I have highlighted. I would like to be able to use the Nord to do this as well, so that I have the full 8. MIDI out to the Nord as previously discussed. I really am lost with this.
